Professor Trevor Stone (Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology) has been elected to Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (London).
Professor Trevor Stone (Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology) has been elected to Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (London).
The award was made "in recognition of sustained contributions to basic and clinically-related biomedical research and innovations in medical teaching at the universities of Aberdeen, London (St. George's Hospital Medical School) and Glasgow.
Trevor's discoveries of the key activities of indoleamine dioxygenase and oxidised tryptophan metabolites in brain function, leading to recognition of the pathway as a critical bridge between the brain and immune system activity, was specifically noted.
