How to find the things you need to read
It’s a little bit complicated for Glasgow University students studying at Crichton – but basically, anything that you need that’s available in print you can get from the Crichton Campus Library. If you want to find and access anything available online then it’s the Glasgow University Library website that you need to use!
The Crichton Library holds print books & journals and audio-visual material to support all courses taught at Dumfries Campus. The standard loan period is four weeks. Most materials can be borrowed, with the exception of journals and reference items. In addition, some materials may be put on "short loan". These are kept at the service desk and are restricted to a 3 hour loan.
Details of all Crichton Library materials are available via the UWS OneSeach Catalogue.
Borrowing materials
To borrow from the Crichton Library you will need a separate library card. You can apply for one at the Crichton Library Service Desk. You will need to produce your University of Glasgow matriculation card, and fill in a short application form. Always remember to bring your library card with you, as you can't borrow anything without it!
