Delineations of Fonthill and its Abbey
(1823) "In this plate, the Abbey is supposed to be divided in the direction of a line, running north and south, and the part nearest the spectator removed. By this means, the position of the stories and rooms over each other, is exhibited in a much more clear and satisfactory manner, than can be done by plans only." (pages xviii)
