Views of Eaton Hall in Cheshire
(1826) "The House consists of a centre and two wings, and a spacious Porch, supported by clusters of columns, under which carriages drive to the steps of the Principal Entrance ... Both sides of the House agree in their general figure and proportions; but the East front has the greatest number of minute embellishments; and the Cloister extends along the whole space between the two great bay-windows of the Dining and Drawing-rooms; from whence a flight of steps leads to the Terrace."
