Create alternative formats with SensusAccess
Staff and students can use SensusAccess to create alternative formats of digital files, it enables you to:
- Create accessible files from inaccessible files, for instance, creating a Word document from an image-based PDF
- Convert accessible files into a range of alternative formats, including MP3 formats, DAISY Audio Books, EPUB, EPUB3, Mobi Pocket and Braille.
Conditions of use
By making a copy, you agree to these conditions of use.
- You must use your institutional email address to use SensusAccess.
- You can use SensusAccess if you are the copyright holder of the work, or you have permission from the copyright holder, or if copyright has expired.
- You may also use SensusAccess if you have a print disability, under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act, 1988, Section 31A (People with Disabilities: copies of works for personal use). You must have lawful access to the original file. This includes if you have downloaded a copy via the Library catalogue or have purchased your own copy. You cannot share the alternative format you make using Sensus Access with anyone else.
- You must not use SensusAccess for commercial purposes or upload personal information or sensitive data to SensusAccess.
Data Protection
SensusAccess does not store your personal data or copies of the file you have uploaded.
