LGBTQ+ History Month 2025

LGBTQ+ Staff and Allies joined together to mark the launch of LGBTQ+ History Month
Making a visible statement across the West End, the tower was lit rainbow, and the Progressive Pride flag was raised, as a reception welcomed LGBTQ+ Staff and Allies to mark the importance of LGBT History Month.
We were delighted to welcome UofG alum and Policy Officer for LGBT Health and Wellbeing, Rebecca Hoffman, to speak to guests on this year's theme of Activism and Social Change.
Charting how activism has pushed for change and contributed towards equality we reflected together on the value of allyship among communities and the difference this can make. Even in small ways, acts of support can be vital and add up to ensure that spaces remain welcoming and that we can address the challenges in front of us, together.
The vital work of LGBT Health and Wellbeing includes its commitment to providing social spaces, activities and dedicated support for Trans people, Carers, Rainbow Families, New Scots, the 50+, as well as its volunteer led helpline.
Thank you to everyone who attended, we look forward to the next time.
