Specialisations
We also offer specialisations on Coursera. Specialisations are a collection of courses (MOOCS) which contribute to deeper learning of a subject area of topic. They can often take learners 3+months to complete, circa 5hrs per week and are payable on a subscription-based model. Specialisations sit between MOOCs and Microcredentials in the eco-system of online offerings. They allow learners to expand and build upon their knowledge and skillset.
We are currently developing two Specialisation, both in the School of Computing Sciences. These are Computational thinking with Java Script and Informed Clinical Decision Making using Deep Learning for EHR’s. Both are due to launch at the end of 2021.
