GIP number: | T33 |
Shelf-mark: | Sp Coll Hunterian By.3.11 (see main library entry for this item) |
Note: | Known in two variants. Variant A, of 42 leaves, collates [18 210 3-58]; variant B, of 35 leaves, collates [110+1 2-48]. Like the BMC copy, the Glasgow copy is variant B and lacks a preliminary quire of 8 leaves, with preface and summary of contents, described in Hain *15680 (and present in a Bayerische Staatsbibliothek digitized copy). See BMC’s description, which offers an explanation for the missing first quire (replaced in the BMC copy by a single-leaf summary, which is lacking in the Glasgow copy). In the Glasgow copy six leaves from the first quire (1/3-8, beginning ‘in manus eor[um] cūcta regna ...’ and ending ‘... dicens in hunc modum.’) are misbound between 1/2 and 1/3 of the fourth item in the volume, De captione urbis Constantinopolitanae [Rome: Johannes Gensberg, c. 1474]. |
