A six years’ privilege for this book was granted by the Duke of Milan to the printers on 6 July 1481. For date of printing see BMC and CIBN; one of the Paris BN copies has a printed letter of dedication to Louis XI dated 3 Feb. 1482; G. Ianziti, 'Humanistic historiography under the Sforzas' (Oxford: 1988) pp. 211-19, argues that printing was finished in 1483. – ISTC.
