Provenance: | London, British Museum: on A1v two stamps in dark green ink “MVSEVM || BRITAN || NICVM” within an octagonal frame, and “DUPLICATE || FOR SALE 1769”; lot 817(?) “A Parcel of statutes of Henry VIIth and VIIIth, &c. printed by Winkyn de Worde”; sold for £0.12.0 to Dr. Gifford (but his name scored through) according to the annotated BL copy of the sale catalogue - shelfmark S.C.S.12(5). Andrew Gifford (1700-1784), Baptist minister, numismatist, and from 1757 assistant librarian at the British Museum - see above. John Kent (b. after 1736), son of John Kent of Winterslow and Charlotte, daughter of Thomas, Viscount Windsor: gilt arms (29 x 27 mm) on front cover: A lion passant gardant a chief ermine Supporters Dexter A unicorn and Sinister A panther gardant collared, with motto “QVO FATA VOCANT” (see <https://armorial.library.utoronto.ca/node/36033> accessed November 2019).
