Provenance:	Walter Ogilvie (b. ca. 1460?), author of a panegyric on Henry VII:  on A1r “Liber M[a]g[ist]rj Gualterj Ogiluij ...”;  on aa1r “Gualterus Ogiluius faustin[us] veritat[is] homo Amicissim[us] eiusq[ue] o[mn]ib[us] exhibende p[ro]mptissim[us] vtriusq[ue] fortune [con]temptor no[n] instrenuus ... [remainder cropped]”;  a similar inscription (also cropped) on c4v;  on d1r in the same hand “solus sapiens diues”;  a more complete provenance inscription appears on the title-page of the second item in this volume:  “Gwalterus Ogilui[us] faustin[us] verita[is] hom[o] Amicissim[us] eiusq[ue] o[mn]ib[us] sua p[ro] virili exhibe[n]d[e] p[ro]mptissim[us] vtriusq[e] fortune contemptor no[n] instrenuus bonor[um] o[mn]i[um] ac doctor[um] cultor ama[n]tissim[us]” - see Durkan & Ross, p. 134. Binding:	Late 17th/early 18th-century blind-tooled panelled calf;  rebacked in goatskin in 20th century with oval gilt stamp of Glasgow College Library at foot of spine;  new flyleaves added and original rear pastedown overlaid;  sprinkled red and blue-edged leaves.   Size:  296 x 213 mm.
