Nicholas and the resurrection of the three boys; the opening initials of books II-V are supplied in gold on a square ground of blue and crimson embellished with tracery; the opening four-line initial ‘N’ of the text of Persius is supplied in gold; other initials supplied in red or blue; paragraph marks supplied in alternate blue and red; the capital letter of the first word of each line of text is washed in yellow; running book numbers in blue and red in the Juvenal; text of Juvenal enclosed within triple red-ink rules (except for the final three pages). |
