Binding: | 17th-century blind-tooled calf over wooden boards; covers decorated with intersecting double fillets to form a panel within an undecorated frame, the panel divided by a double fillet from corner to corner into four triangles; evidence from nail holes of two now lost fore-edge clasps; rebacked in 19th/20th century and given new pastedowns and endpapers (originals unrecorded); gilt stamp ‘Glasgow College Library’ on spine; lengthy two-line inscription on blackened fore-edge (unread).
