Binding: England, 19th/20th-century, gold-tooled panelled brown goatskin;  gold-tooled spine;  gilt-edged leaves;  binder’s stamp in gilt on turn-in at foot of front board “Bound by Riviere & Son”.   Size:  219 x 147 mm.
Leaf size: 216 x 142 mm.
Annotations: Brief marginal annotations in an early hand on 2/7v (f. 15v) and 2/8r (f. 16r);  other (later) marginal annotations are washed out and almost illegible;  foliated “87” - “102” in red ink in centre of top margins in an early hand and with evidence of signatures added in red ink at lower right hand corner of some leaves e.g. “o3” on 1/3 and “p4” on 2/4 (f. 12) - indicating that this tract had once been bound at an early date with another work or works.
Decoration: Initials, capital strokes and paragraph marks supplied in red throughout.
