| Binding: | Germany, 16th-century wooden boards backed with pigskin, the leather decorated with fillets and a fleur-de-lys tool; traces of a title written in ink on front board; evidence of two now missing fore-edge clasps; volume probably repaired in the 18th/19th century - from combined evidence of cropping of marginalia, dull yellow edging of leaves, red leather title label on spine, and addition of paper pastedowns and endpapers; manuscript offsetting on 15/8v (f. 150v) suggests the volume originally had parchment manuscript pastedowns.
