Although signed 'D.S.' (i.e. Dominicus Siliprandus) and tentatively given to that printer at Padua by GW (followed by IGI), BMC regards as a Venetian reprint of the earlier Padua edition (Goff C763), and assigns to the Printer of Cicero, De officiis (designated Printer of Columella in CIBN). BSB-Ink P-214 identifies the 'Printer of Cicero' as Nicolaus Girardengus – ISTC.

Alexander McCalman (17th century): perhaps to be identified with Alexander McCalman, b. ca. 1634, studied at Glasgow (M.A. 1655) and St Andrews, minister of Ballachulish (Appin) and Dean of Argyll from 1660-1717; see David M.
