Provenance:	Guilliaume le Vinandier(?):  16th-century ownership inscription in French (mainly unread) on a1r beginning “maiſtre guilli[aume] le Vina[n]dier(?) [...]” Lucien Dorbon (late 19th/early 20th century), bookseller, Paris:  sold book to John Ferguson. John Ferguson (1837-1916), Professor of Chemistry, University of Glasgow:  Ferguson’s note of his supplier “Dorbon” in pencil on rear pastedown. University of Glasgow:  Ferguson collection purchase, 1921.
Binding:	France, 19th-century parchment, single thong attached to rear cover, thong attached to front cover now lost. Size: 139 x 95 mm.
Leaf size:	131 x 90 mm.
Annotations:	Minor underlining on d5v;  quires a-d numbered “25” - “28” in a 17th-century(?) hand at lower outer corner of first recto leaf – suggesting that this was once bound with another, or other works;  early 20th-century pencil codes “ns/022” and “es/-” on rear pastedown with date(?) “1910”.
Decoration:	None.
Imperfections:	Wanting the blank(?) leaf e4;  single wormhole throughout, with loss of an occasional letter;  leaves a2, d6 and d7 torn, with slight loss of text.
