Binding: Scotland, 20th-century half dark green morocco, marbled paper sides;  marbled endpapers;  gilt-edged leaves;  binder’s stamp “Maclehose, Glasgow” on verso of front free endpaper.   Size:  196 x 150 mm.

Annotations: Missing leaves d2 and d7 supplied in manuscript in a humanist hand;  copious 16th-century  marginal annotations in Latin (many cropped by binder);  19th-century notes in pencil in Italian on front fly leaves referring to the rarity of this edition and the imperfections of this copy, together with a note in ink “Alberti Magni senza data sec. XV mancante” and various numbers “1-53 b8(?)” “32” and “30 a 38”;  two partially removed paper labels pasted onto front flyleaf - one with the manuscript number “2295”, the other so damaged as to be unreadable;  number “948” in pencil on a2r.
Decoration: Initials crudely supplied in faint pencil throughout.
Imperfections: Wanting the first blank leaf and the bifolium d2.7.
