Sustainability in Learning and Teaching Community
The Sustainability Community of Practice aims to generate an interest in sustainability issues and collaborations to share practical advice on embedding sustainability into learning, teaching and research. In addition to the General hub where events, news and good practice are shared, we have subject and thematic sub-groups for more specialist areas of interest, such as Data Modelling or Global Health, and social discussions areas related to Recycling and Gardening
While the goup is primarily focused on learning and teaching it is open to any colleague who has an interest in sustainability: from colleagues who want to understand the issues, or are hoping to learn more about embedding sustainability within their programmes or supporting students in their learning in a sustainable way, to those who are interested in contributing to the development of a new interdisciplinary postgraduate provision.
Members of the group also meet virtually on the last Friday of each month for an online coffee catch-up to share their thoughts and issues, and network as a supportive multidisciplinary community.
