CMIS - MyCampus Missing Data Guide
This section will provide guidance on solving the common issues which prevent information transferring from CMIS to MyCampus.
Data entered onto CMIS by 5pm each day is updated to MyCampus overnight. If you enter data into CMIS after 5pm it will be updated in MyCampus with the following day's data. e.g. Data entered on Monday at 10am will be visible on MyCampus on Tuesday, data entered at 5.30pm on Monday will be visible on MyCampus on Wednesday.
Before submitting a helpdesk call or email: Ensure that the data is set up correctly in CMIS and in Timetables and Room Bookings by following the guidance below.
If a class is "missing" from MyCampus check:
- Has the course been marked as Requirement Confirmed in Course Requirements? If not, tick it.
- Does the class exist as a subgroup in CMIS? If not, create it.
- Does the class appear on the Data Quality > Class Errors tab in Timetables and Room Bookings? If so, fix the error(s) in CMIS and then check that they no longer appear on Timetables and Room Bookings.
- If it is a new course, is the course approved in PIP? Only approved courses are extracted to MyCampus.
- Is the course Active in MyCampus for the academic session? Only Active courses are extracted to MyCampus.
- Allow the MyCampus overnight update to run.
If a meeting is "missing" from MyCampus check:
- Is the course marked as Requirement Confirmed in Course Requirements? If not, tick it.
- Is the associated class in MyCampus. If not, see the above section.
- Is the event in CMIS Confirmed and the source set to Teaching? If not, then correct it. (For events in centrally booked rooms, STT colleagues must submit a change request to CTT.)
- Does the subgroup/event appear on the Data Quality > Event Errors tab in Timetables and Room Bookings? If it does have errors, fix the errors in CMIS and check that they no longer appear in Timetables and Room Bookings. *
- Allow the MyCampus overnight update to run.
*Note the critical errors are:
- Subgroup code does not match MyCampus naming convention. (Check the CMIS Support Guide 2024-25 for these conventions.)
- Length of subgroup code is greater than 4.
- More than 4 component types.
If you still cannot find the class/meeting in MyCampus after:
- all of the above has been checked and corrected, and
- 'STT Complete' is ticked in Timetables and Room Bookings, and
- you have waited for the overnight update, then
Please submit a support call through the UofG Helpdesk stating the relevant course code and subgroup/class/event IDs, and confirming that the above steps have been taken, using the profile:
