Before using one or more of the above email addresses, consider if this really is the most effective method of communication. Remember that there are other ways to communicate internally:

  • Each College (including University Services) has distrubution lists for staff which include all staff, staff by job family (e.g. research and teaching, mpa etc), honorary and associate staff. Please contact your College/School Office for information about which lists to use.
  • All Schools have staff distribution lists and again lists sub-divided by category.
  • MyGlasgow should be also used for displaying communications and other content to staff/students. For MyGlasgow News, please contact the Communications Team on communications@glasgow.ac.uk

Please note:

  1. These email distribution list are not generated automatically from CoreHR and are updated manually. If changes to names are required or you wish to know who is included on a list please contact uofg-court@glasgow.ac.ukTo ensure the lists remain manageable, no deputies are added to lists.  Only those appointed into the named role are included.  
  2. They should only be used by University of Glasgow staff and only for the purposes of University business. Content must be compliant with DPA/FOI compliance and in keeping with good practice and information (see here).
  3. Their use is moderated by the Court Office Team via Sympa.  Messages come to the Team first for distribution and may be subject to delay.
