12:00-13:00, Talk: Selection tests: Making your applications count!
There's a high chance that you'll encounter a selection/psychometric tests when you apply for a role.
In this talk, we'll look at the type of tests with a focus on numerical reasoning tests which assess your ability to do basic calculations before you're invited to interview.
The key to success is to be prepared, so this session is designed to introduce you to these tests by going through some typical questions and offering some tips for speed along the way. We'll show you where to find further resources and advice to help multiply your chances of success.
You'll also hear from Inizio Medical and how they use tests in their recruitment.

Come and hear from alumna Luisa Hendry about her exciting career path from Geology student to Geologist!
Luisa graduated from UofG with her Bachelor of Science in Geology/Earth Science in 2015 and has since worked within the engineering sector and beyond. She's now known to over 300k followers as "That Girl That Makes Videos About Rocks", creating educational content about geology.

STEM jobs are predicted to be the biggest area of growth in the UK job market in the next ten years. Technological advances could change many existing jobs in STEM and also may mean the creation of lots of new jobs you might want to consider.
Hear from alumna Dawn McAra-Hunter, Programme Manager from Scottish AI Alliance who'll share her career journey and also her knowledge and expertise to help you plan your course choices and career path after graduation.
