Wright Papers
Papers and correspondence of Harold Wright (1885-1961), art historian and a director of the London art dealer, Colnaghi’s.
Over 3,500 items including Wright’s notes on a number of modern British artists, including Muirhead Bone (1876-1953), D.Y. Cameron (1865-1945), Frank Benson (1862-1951), and F.L. Griggs (1876-1938). Also a collection of materials forming the basis for Wright’s major work on Alphonse Legros (1837-1911), painter, etcher, sculptor, and friend of Courbet (1819-1877), Whistler (1834-1903) and Manet (1832-1883).
