Hunterian Museum Records
This collection comprises several hundred documents, including some bound volumes, relating to William Hunter’s museum and library. Whilst a few date from Hunter’s own time, the majority of the records deal with the administration of Hunter’s collections after their arrival in Glasgow in 1807. They include catalogues of the collections compiled at the request of the trustees, minutes of meetings of the trustees, lists of visitors and donations, and correspondence relating to the collections.
