Bourgeois Collection
A valuable philological collection of approximately 2,000 volumes of language and literature texts.
The philological collection of Dr Henri Bourgeois was offered to Glasgow University Library in 1927 as a gesture of gratitude for the library privileges he received while residing in Glasgow as a refugee from the invasion of Belgium by Germany in WWI. One of the terms of this gift was that a catalogue be provided.
