Postgraduate taught programmes (PGT) - Credits
Policy and Guidelines
Education Committee agreed that PGTs awarded by the University should usually be organised as follows (although it was noted that exceptions could be made on the basis of specific postgraduate content and requirements from external bodies):
(a) All PGT programmes should normally be credit rated;
(b) Normally all elements of PGT programmes should be assessed and graded;
(c) The following credit structure should normally apply:
Masters Degree | a minimum of 180 credits, 60 from a dissertation and 120 from taught courses |
Postgraduate Diploma | a minimum of 120 credits from taught courses |
Postgraduate Certificate | a minimum of 60 credits from taught courses |
