Charges

We do not charge for facilities or services where the client is a University School, College, or service, and where the intended purpose of the work produced is Educational, Research or Promotional.

Charges will only come into effect where costs are incurred, for example:

• Any physical media you receive, will incur a charge. If you require your video as a media file, mp4, Quicktime, mp3 etc, there will be no charge.

• Also, music used in productions is most often copyrighted material and must be cleared and paid for before distribution. This payment must be made to the performing rights licensing authorities, and will provide a license to use the music.

• We can record off-air programmess, when requested to do so, free of charge. Where a programme is requested, but is past its broadcast date, we will have to retrieve a copy from the British Universities Film and Video Council Library, a service for which they will make a charge of £25. This is not a charge we make and we receive no part of that fee.

Please note staff normal working hours are 0900 - 1700, Monday to Friday.
