Conference format and venue
The 2023 Conference was a hybrid event taking place over 2 days.
Day One (29th March)
Presentation videos have now been uploaded to a YouTube Conference Playlist The winner of the best presentation was 2B1: Aileen Linn, Alison Browitt, Eilidh Ferguson and Louise Miller: Improving equity of access to Medical School - perspectives from a new foundation year access to Medicine programme
The winner of the best Digital poster was Peter Stockwell: Can an Interactive Virtual Orientation e-Resource Reduce Cognitive and Sensory Loads to Support the Transition to Higher Education?
Day Two (13th April)
This was on campus in the James McCune Smith Learning Hub, and was a CPD event open to all staff at UofG.
Practitioners with experience of designing and facilitating active learning sessions ran interactive workshops and drop in sessions related to the conference theme and subthemes. This event was co-ordinated by the UofG Active Learning Network Satellite Group.
Conference Theme
Conference Theme: Access to Opportunity
This theme allowed us to showcase and celebrate the many opportunities that are open to students at UofG and across HE to develop transferable skills and graduate attributes.
The sub-themes were designed to expand on the overall conference theme and to help us to further embed the pillars of the current Learning and Teaching Strategy in our teaching and assessment practices, and to showcase how practitioners are achieving this.
