Visa refusals

If you receive a refusal of your student visa application we will require you to upload a copy of the UKVI refusal notice to your applicant self-service area for review.

Once you have uploaded this documentation, please contact us via our enquiry form using the reason for enquiry “CAS/Visa” and then “My visa was refused”.

Please state if you wish us to issue another CAS. Please note: you must prove that you now meet the specific reason the visa was refused before we will consider for re-issue.

If the refusal has been made by UKVI in error, then it may be possible for you to challenge the decision through an administrative review. Applicants applying from within the UK who are refused have a maximum of 14 days to request an administrative review. If you submit an administrative review your application will be reconsidered by a different case worker and if the refusal was made in error, then the decision should be over-turned, and your visa will be granted.

If you wish to apply for an administrative review you need to read the guidance information on the UKVI website and apply for an administrative review. The fee is £80 which will be refunded to you if your administrative review is successful (this can take up to 6 months and we have no control over this timeline).

Please note: We are required to withdraw sponsorship on the CAS that was used in the application, and this CAS cannot be used again

Please feel free to contact International Student Support if you have further questions.
