Second year ZUEL students on recognised programmes can apply to study from Level 3 (Honours) on the BSc Statistics or BSc Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Glasgow.
Study from Level 3 (Honours) with the University of Glasgow
With a history dating back to 1948 in May 2000, Zhongnan Institute of Politics and Law and Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics merged to form Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL). In 2011 the University of Glasgow entered a partnership with ZUEL to enable students who have successfully completed two years of study on recognised programmes at ZUEL to gain entry at Level 3 (Honours) on selected BSc programmes in the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
ZUEL's achievements
- September 2005: ZUEL listed in “Project 211” becoming one of the key universities in China
- June 2011: ZUEL listed in the “985 Project Innovation Platform”
- October 2012: The Ministry of Education of P.R.C., the Ministry of Finance of P.R.C., and the People’s Government of Hubei Province signed an agreement to build ZUEL jointly
- September 2017: ZUEL was selected in the first round of the national “Double World-Class” list
- February 2022: ZUEL was again selected in the second round of the national "Double World-Class" list
Scholarships
Successful applicants are awarded the University of Glasgow – ZUEL scholarship with a value of 20 per cent of the annual tuition fee at the University of Glasgow. Successful applicants will be notified of this award when they receive their letter of acceptance.
