Second year Universitas Indonesia students on associated programmes can apply to the dual-degree programmes in the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow.

Universitas Indonesia (UI) is Indonesia’s top-ranking university and it was formed in 1849 where UI represented an educational institution with the oldest history in Asia. To this day, UI continues to play an important role at the national and global levels. UI has 17 Faculties and a mission to become an educational institution that is superior and of world standard quality. It is a research-led university making a contribution to Indonesia and is committed to becoming one of the Nation’s Teachers through the implementation of the Higher Education Tridharma. This is a driving force for UI to continue to play an active role and contribute to overcoming the nation’s problems.

The University of Glasgow and Universitas Indonesia have develop dual undergraduate degree programmes in the James Watt School of Engineering. These programmes allow students to obtain degrees from both institutions, completing years 1 and 2 in Indonesia and years 3 and 4 in Glasgow.

Scholarship

Students participating in the dual-degree programme will be awarded the University of Glasgow Partner Scholarship which is worth 20% of the relevant international tuition fee.

Graduates of UI who wish to pursue a masters degree (excluding collaborative degrees) in the College of Science and Engineering will be awarded the University of Glasgow Partner Alumni Scholarship which is worth 15% of the relevant international tuition fee.
