Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and University of Glasgow have entered an agreement so that students can start start their masters degrees at UGM and spend the second year of their masters at the University of Glasgow. Students will receive degrees from both universities.

UGM was founded in 1949 and the university's vision is:

To carry out education, research and community service as well as preservation and development of knowledge that is excellent and useful for society.

As of 2023, UGM is equipped with 18 Faculties, 2 Schools, 287 Study Programs, 125 Joint/Double Degrees, and  23 Research Centres. UGM also has in total of 4336 faculty staffs, consisting of 374 professors, 584 associate professors, 1523 assistant professors, 737 lecturers, 337 others, and total student number of 61440. As of 2022/2023, UGM has produced 19120 publications, 13285 citations, and many more.

As a leading university in Indonesia, UGM has partnered with 48 countries around the world, with a total number of 638 collaborations. Based on QS World University Rankings 2024, UGM is placed #263.

Scholarship

Students taking part in the dual-masters programmes will be awarded a scholarship worth 20 per cent of the relevant international tuition fee for the year in which they commence their degree.
