Kelvin Hall is a unique partnership between Glasgow Life, The Hunterian, the University of Glasgow and the National Library of Scotland.
What's On Display?
At Kelvin Hall, The Hunterian offers a series of small changing displays on the Avenue and a programme of events and tours.
Visitors also have drop-in access to the café, Collections Showcase and partners displays.
The National Library of Scotland offers drop-in access to its Moving Image Archive. Glasgow Club at Kelvin Hall operates a state of the art health and fitness centre.

Access Our Collections
The Hunterian Collections Study Centre at Kelvin Hall is a purpose-designed facility with a central collections store, object study rooms, teaching labs, conservation and digitisation studios and a conference suite.
These facilities provide an accessible location for researchers, students and the public.
We offer in-person research and teaching appointments and also offer appointments to view collections remotely, via remote visualiser and video-conferencing facilities.
- Please note that access to The Hunterian collections at Kelvin Hall is by appointment only.
- All enquiries should be sent by email at least 20 working days in advance with details of what you require and for what purpose.
- There is a limit to the number of objects/specimens available to researchers on each visit.
- All researchers will be supervised at all times.
