STUDENT SUPPORT
What support is provided for students at the University of Glasgow?
Ash, Jachine, Danielle and Victor share their experiences of accessing academic and careers support, using the Disability Service and the Students’ Representative Council, support for international students, and more! Press play to listen to the Student Support episode now.
Team UofG is a strong community and we have staff and students within it who are committed to sharing knowledge, offering advice, and guiding you, whether you require support with your learning, welfare, career, or safety. Just a few of the teams ready to help are:
- the Students’ Representative Council
- the Student Services Enquiry Team
- our Student Support Officers.
We also have a dedicated counselling service for mental health, plus a Peer Wellbeing Support service that trains students to assist other students with issues like stress, making friends, relationship problems or academic worries.
If you're an International student, our International Student Support team are here to provide advice and support before you arrive and during your time with us, on areas such as immigration, working regulations and finance. The team also organise a full orientation programme to ensure you settle in as smoothly as possible.
And our SafeZone App is designed to help all students and staff feel safe on and around campus, by offering 24-hour monitoring and a quick way to be in touch with the UofG Security Team to ask for help or report any issues.
