Background: Race Equality Matters
In 2020, diversity champions Green Park and The Collaboratory co-founded Race Equality Matters, a not-for-profit community interest company to accelerate meaningful change in the workplace—change that is relevant, addresses the workplace issues that ethnically diverse employees face, and is action-oriented and impact-driven.
One such action is ‘Race Equality Week’. The theme for Race Equality Week 2025 is #EveryActionCounts, emphasising the importance of taking concrete steps towards racial equality in the workplace.
Race Equality Week will take place from February 3rd to February 9th, 2025. This annual UK-wide event unites thousands of organisations and individuals to address barriers to race equality in the workplace.
The 5-Day Challenge consists of 5 different activities for colleagues to engage in over 5 days. Each daily activity takes just 5 minutes and is designed to help students and colleagues reflect and take action to drive race equality.
The challenges are designed to spark action, ignite ideas, and connect people with a shared vision of equality. Each day's activity comes with ready-to-go, downloadable PDFs.
This challenge is part of the broader goal to turn talk into action and implement equality solutions in our organisations.
