Miami University is a public university that dates back to 1809. It has 24,000 students. Miami University ranks among the top 100 national universities, top 50 public schools and 5th best university for undergraduate teaching in the US. Miami is considered one of the original eight ‘Public Ivy’ schools.

Oxford is a traditional college town that was founded in 1809 for Miami University. It was rated by Forbes as the ‘Best College Town’ in the United States. Oxford holds an annual summer music festival with free concerts. Many other festivals occur throughout the year, such as the award-winning Oxford Wine Festival and the Oxford Kinetics Festival. It has many local shops and the high student population ensure a thriving restaurant and pub culture, as well as a lively nightlife.
