We would like to make you aware of an exciting upcoming opportunity - applications are now open for the Central China Normal University International Spring School Exchange 2025, taking place between 16th April to 29th April 2025.

This year, the theme of the spring school is Chinese Bridge, where students will have the opprotunity to take part in a fantatsic programme of of Chinese educational, cultural and language experiences in the CCNU campus in Wuhan, China. 

Students will have the opportunity to take part in field trips and cultural tours in Wuhan and Beijing, attend cultural lectures and demonstrations of Chinese art and tai chi, and be able to experience an introduction to Chinese language learning guided by experienced instructors of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. 

Application Eligibility   

  • Applicants should be aged between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the programme start date. 
  • Only non-Chinese nationals are eligible to apply. 
  • Applicants are preferred to have a HSK 1 or HSK 2 level Chinese (Mandarin) language proficiency, but applicants who don't currently have this certification are still encouraged to apply.

The final deadline for completed applications is Saturday 15th March 2025 at midnight. However, as funded places are limited we would strongly encourage you to register your interest and apply as soon as possible as we may choose to close the applications early once the quota has been met.

Programme Fees 

There are a limited number of funded scholarship places available for University of Glasgow and Confucius Institute students, which would cover the in-country costs of tuition, accommodation, meals and transport during the programme duration in China. However, applicants will be required to pay for and arrange their own:   

  • Visa application fees
  • International return flights
  • Travel insurance for full travel period

*It is very important that you do not book flights, arrange travel insurance or apply for your Visa until your spring school application result has been confirmed as successful.*
