Applications are now open for the CCNU International Summer School 2024 - Artificial Intelligence in Education, taking place between 1st July to 15th July 2024.

We would like to make you aware of an exciting upcoming opportunity - applications are now open for the Central China Normal University International Summer School 2024, taking place between 1st July to 15th July 2024.

This year, the theme of the summer school is Artificial Intelligence in Education, where students will be able to take part in a fantastic programme of educational, cultural and language experiences. This will include: 

1. Participation in a Mini Project (Artificial Intelligence in Education) 

Students will take part in academic lectures and projects guided by experts in both AI and Education, with opportunities to visit IT labs and local IT companies. 

2. Chinese Language & Culture 

Students will have the opportunity to take part in field trips and cultural tours in Wuhan city, attend cultural lectures and demonstrations of Chinese art and tai chi, and be able to experience an introduction to Chinese language learning guided by experienced instructors of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, especially those with a subject interest in Artificial Intelligence, Computing, Software, Science, Engineering and Education topics. 

Application Eligibility & Process 

In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must be aged between 18-35 years and proficient in English language. The summer school programme will be delivered in English, and therefore is open to those who have no previous experience of Chinese language. 

The deadline for completed applications is Thursday the 30th May 2024 at 1:00pm.

Programme Fees 

There are five funded scholarship places available for University of Glasgow students, which would cover the in-country costs of tuition, accommodation, meals and transport during the programme duration in China. However, applicants will be required to pay for and arrange their own:   

  • Visa application fees
  • International return flights
  • Travel insurance for full travel period

*It is very important that you do not book flights, arrange travel insurance or apply for your Visa until your summer school application result has been confirmed as successful.*
