Visit an ancient forest in Victoria Park and discover stories of climate change and industrial heritage. Fossil Grove is a unique Earth heritage site with 11 fossil tree stumps, dating back to the Carboniferous Period some 325 million-years ago, that are preserved in the position in which they grew. The Geological Society of Glasgow and the Fossil Grove Trust will explain the current conservation and building renovation programme, deliver tours of the adjacent area and  provide various childrens activities. (Note the building housing the fossil trees is currently closed whilst the renovation programme takes place).
