GSF23 hosted a panel discussion with Dr Maria Weikum, Sharon Pfleger, Stephanie Ordonez and Wendy Pring, four participants of the international leadership programme Homeward Bound for women in STEMM discussing their innovative work in STEMM fields. They reflected on their 12-month journey dedicated to promoting the importance of women in leadership roles to tackle climate change. The panellists culminated their leadership journey with a 3-week voyage to Antarctica in November 2023 to see the effects of climate change up close and work together to develop interventions to preserve and protect this fragile ecosystem. This discussion will share the insights gained from this trip.
