Get Me into Orbit
‘Get Me into Orbit!’ was an interactive project led by Glasgow Science Festival and space engineers, funded by the UK Space Agency
Primary school children explored cutting edge-space science, through fun and interactive ‘webisode’ videos and accompanying classroom activities. Children also had the chance to pitch their questions to real life space scientists, while getting hands-on making rockets, satellites and more!
The project links to the Curriculum for Excellence within the ‘Topical Science’, ‘Planet Earth’, ‘Materials’ and ‘Forces, Electricity and Waves’ areas and the 'Earth and Space' and 'Forces' topics of the National Curriculum of KS2.
'Get Me into Orbit' has now finished but the resources and videos are still available to view below. Suitable for Primary 6 and 7 classes. Or curious grown ups. Have fun!
