Glasgow Science Festival presented Glasgow Connects, celebrating the city's role in COP26. Our exciting programme ran throughout Sept, with a distinctly green tinge. Exploring themes such as sustainability, health & wellbeing, and the environment.

GSF at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens
Glasgow Science Festival took over the Botanics for nine days, showcasing research from dozens of University partners. 1000s of participants enjoyed loads of free activities, workshops & exhibitions.
Ingenious Circus
Circus skills taster session were offered as part of our Ingenious Circus project. With some excellent juggling, hula hooping and unicycling in action!
Tick Hunting
At the What Makes Viruses Tick stall, people learned more about ticks through a scavenger hunt and quiz around the gardens. Delivered by the University of Glasgow's Centre for Virus Research.
Really Small Science
We made bioplastics from potatoes and nanopolymer bouncy balls with the Really Small Science team, University of Strathclyde
Creating Engineers: Bridge Building Challenge
GSF's annual primary school engineering competition Creating Engineers was reimagined as a classroom challenge. With pupils asked to design the new active travel bridge across the River Clyde. St Helen's pupils used recycled cardboard boxes to complete the task.
