Ankna Arockiam, Edward Cohen, and Hardeep Deerhe created Saanjh (translates as dusk in Hindi) for St Andrews Voices in October 2020. They call on their eclectic influences to portray a collection of musical scenes. Through collaboration, cultures will merge, blending voice, piano, and tabla, with elements of improvisation and conversation.

‘The sun has set and the birds have returned to their nests. A calmness has enveloped the evening. A woman sets out on a journey through dusk, walking under the pink and orange hues of the sky. As she proceeds through the gentle rain, dark clouds gather and she faces stormy weather that lashes out with fury and destruction. She braves the storm and fights the evil forces before finding calmness within as she reaches her destination.’
