This event will explore the role of creative methodologies in youth studies research, delving into their practical application to amplify the voices of young people. Showcasing innovative research practices that create inclusive spaces for youth expression and agency, we will examine how creative methodologies like media-making, craft, zine-making, and mending empower young people to shape their narratives.
This event is ideal for researchers, educators, practitioners, and anyone interested in exploring how creative and inclusive approaches reveal unique insights into young people’s lives, particularly within contexts of disability, care, and youth transitions. Through a series of presentations, and opportunities for questions and discussion during the event, we aim to foster a dialogue on how these methods contribute to more equitable and empowering research practices and address questions about their use.
