All Ages Screening Printing Workshop

Part of the Creatives of Colour Festival, May 8-10, 2025.

This event is open to BPOC only.

In the workshop, we will use games and play to develop a shared visual vocabulary as a group. We’ll then use this to create motifs and designs to screen print onto t-shirts or tote bags, and some bunting to offer to the Creatives of Colour festival.

This workshop is open to all People of Colour though we ask that any under 18s are accompanied by an adult who is also POC.

Please bring along a t-shirt, tote bag or anything else you’d like to print onto!

Sapna Agarwal uses play, stories and everyday conversation to explore social justice issues, working primarily with young people, intergenerational groups and POC groups. She is an artist, radical educator, community activist, facilitator, organiser and someone who loves to stop and chat. She established and runs the Woodlands Community Anti-Racist Library and organises satellite projects from this, specifically for People of Colour. She has a background in community arts and facilitation.

Creatives of Colour Festival

The festival centers the voices, experiences, and creativity of people of colour in Glasgow. Storytelling sits at the heart of these creative practices, and celebrates the resilience, joy, and talent of PoC artists. Co-curated by Zahra Khosroshahi and Kevin Leomo.

Our stories. Our lens. Our terms.

This event is presented by ‘Thinking Culture’, a cultural programme from the School of Culture & Creative Arts, University of Glasgow.
