The Kelvin Ensemble is Glasgow University’s student run orchestra that rehearses weekly on a Tuesday evening. The orchestra has over 80 members and is conducted by John Grant who, in his career as a flautist, was principal of the RSNO. While the orchestra maintains a high standard of playing, it also nurtures a thriving social life with an annual ball, regular socials and weekly pub trips after rehearsals.
