All are welcome - no auditions – just a love of singing! Weekly rehearsals on campus (usually the University Concert Hall, which is situated imediately above the uni shop in the Main Building), Thurs 5.15-7pm. Choral Society perform large scale choral works and some familiarity with music-reading is useful - but you don't need to be an expert!
This term, we're excited to be peforming the Messiah by Handel, with Prof John Butt conducting. This is a rare opportunity to perform the piece with John at the helm, and we will be accompanied by the Dunedin Consort. The rehearsals will be taken by John, Katy Lavinia Cooper (Director of Chapel Music), with Tiffany Vong accompanying.
