International Women’s Day offers the opportunity once a year, to celebrate the remarkable contribution of women to improving society working on issues of equality, peace and promoting just and harmonious societies.

Religions for Peace UK Women of Faith Network in partnership with the University of Glasgow invite you to an event showcasing three inspirational women sharing their stories and journey as change makers. Answering questions as how they started on their path and who inspired them. What barriers they faced.? How did their faith/culture help to overcome obstacles to, and bring them the strength to fight for gender equality/equity? Join us to hear the stories of,

Rt Revd Sally Foster-Fulton Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland,  Isadora Quay, CEO of the Gender in Emergencies Group, has worked in humanitarian crises worldwide.  Dr Nighet Nasim Riaz, the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy Advisor at the University of Glasgow. We are honoured to have Dr Maureen Sier, Director of Interfaith Scotland, to moderate this event.
