Egon Altdorf (1922-2008) was a German artist, poet, and prisoner of war. He worked as a sculptor and printmaker and designed extensive glass for the new Synagogue in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1966, a significant post-Holocaust work.

Join us on Wednesday 8 November at 5.15pm for a conversation between Dr Mia Spiro (Senior Lecturer in Modern Jewish Culture and Holocaust Studies) and Dr Deborah Lewer (Senior Lecturer in History of Art) exploring Altdorf's work.

This is part of a programme of musical events and seminars accompanying the exhibition, "Into the Light: The Art of Egon Altdorf", in the UoG Memorial Chapel, which runs from 11 October until 17 November 2023. Viewing available Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri from 9-12; 2.30-5pm.
