There’s something for everyone at the ARCadia Big Weekend.
Want to brush up on your science skills? Explore tick-borne viruses and different interactions between quarks and gluons. Or if robots are more your thing, we’ve got you covered! Want to hear some storytelling? Award-winning children's author and performer Alan Windram will sort you out. Ever wanted to master Spanish or Italian? Now is your chance! Or if you just fancy looking at some art and having a sing-song and a dance, we've got that too.

- The Canny Band - we are delighted to welcome the The Canny Band to ARCadia, who will perform two sets for our festival. The Canny Band, a rare fusion of piano, diatonic button accordion and bodhran, has stormed the Glasgow trad scene and gained them numerous high profile BBC TV Radio appearances and the Up and Coming Award at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Award awards in Dec 2021.

- Leaving Fingerprints - fingerprints are something that we all have in common. We hope you can join us for this interactive craft and storytelling workshop for the whole family. Make your own fingerprint impression with clay and learn about the work happening at Glasgow to build communities that are welcoming to everyone, and creating a future that connects to the past. #RefugeesWelcome
- One Button Benny storytelling event with award-winning author Alan Windram - join award wining author and performer Alan Windram for a highly interactive picture book event about Benny the robot's adventures. Benny has a big red button in the middle of his tummy with the words ‘only press in an emergency’ on it. Benny has never pressed his button but one day something happened and he had to press it. Family fun includes singalong songs, storytelling, visuals, plus some ‘robot dancing ‘. Find out just what happened when Benny pressed his button.
